Particularly, Ford focuses on manufacturing cars that exceed the limits in power. In the same fashion, the Aspire has been created. It has two variants in 1.2-liter and 1.5-liter engines each. In 1.2-liter we have a petrol engine and in 1.5-liter we have a diesel engine. further, the front suspension is independent Mcpherson type and the rear suspension is semi-independent Twist Beam type. All variants have 6.0 x 15.0 inches alloy wheels. Moreover, aspire supports electric power-assist technology. The maximum power output is 70.79 kW at 6500 rpm. The maximum torque output is 119 Nm at 4250 rpm. All variants support 5-speed manual transmission.

Ford Aspire has a good grade in passenger safety. Firstly, all its variants have a driver and passenger seatbelt indicators. Secondly, there is a remote keyless entry and go. To keep you on pace, it has a high-speed alert system. This system will be in action if you exceed a speed limit of 170 km per hour. Further, it has seatbelts in the cabin. While parking it has a perimeter alarm however only titanium+ models have rear car parking sensors. In addition, there is an engine immobilizer. Coupled with that, we have ABS with EBD. moreover, all the variants have 4 speakers, two front and two rear. It has Bluetooth connectivity coupled with vehicle connectivity FordPass. Furthermore, there is a 7-inch touchscreen LED display for all the variants. In addition to which there is an embedded navigation system.

Further, talking about the exteriors, B-pillar Black Allique is in all variants. Along with that, there are front and rear bumpers of the same color as the body. In addition, we have a front grille in two layers. the surround is in chrome finish while the cellular grille is silver painted. All variants have rear fog lamps. Coupled with this, we have a twin-tone environment. In other words, there is sand and light oak color interior design. The seats are in hosiery fabric and there are cushioned backrests. Further, to make your ride more comfortable there are adjustable front and rear headrests. We also have front cabin vanity mirrors.

Ford Figo Aspire Interior

Stylish and modern interiors don the Ford Figo Aspire . The cabin has a neat layout with nothing out of place. The instrument panel is well laid-out with the new Ford steering wheel and fit has a lowing centre console. The top-of-the-line Titanium+ gets a mobile docking system as well.

The other variants get the regular music system that we familiar with in the Ford Fiesta and Ecosport. The Sync has Bluetooth connectivity with audio streaming. It also has medical assistance where the car automatically calls the emergency number in case of an accident. There is automatic climate control and electrically folding ORVMs.

The Ford Figo Aspire has good overall space management. The front row is very spacious. The second row seats are comfortable for two people only. The third will be a bit of squeeze as the central tunnel is raised and there is no headrest for the middle passenger. The cooling from the AC was decent in the Udaipur heat, but the rear AC vents were missed. With a boot capacity of 359 litres, the Ford Figo Aspire provides decent luggage carrying capacity.

About Ford Aspire

Summary

Ford launched the latest iteration of the Aspire in 2019. The American compact sedan received a facelift after being around in the country unchanged since its introduction in 2015. The mid-life refreshment comes with a new petrol heart and comprehensively updated interiors. The compact sedan has been launched in 11 trim levels with three powertrain and one transmission option. 

Exterior

The updated Aspire gets a new fascia which is highlighted by the imposing honeycomb pattern chrome grille, C-shaped fog lamp pods and revised bumpers. It rides on a stylish set of multi-spoke alloy wheels. At the back, there are revised tail lamps and a new chrome slat at the back. The elements around the fog lamps and headlamps are the same as seen in the Freestyle, albeit in chrome. These visual updates make it look similar to the larger Figo sedan on sale in South Africa or the Freestyle sold here in India.

Interior

The most prominent changes in the facelift are on the inside. The Freestyle inspiration continues but instead of the brown finished dash, the Aspire gets a dual-tone dashboard with a beige-black finish. The most important update for the Aspire is the floating touchscreen with SYNC3 infotainment system in addition to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The instrument cluster is scrounged unchanged from the CUV and the beige upholstery lends the Aspire a premium feel.

Powertrain

Under the hood, there is the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Dragon Series petrol engine which is the same 95bhp mill that debuted on the Freestyle. It comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The diesel model continues to be powered by the tried-and-tested 100bhp/215Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.

  После того как в работе «троицы» Ford — Kia — Mazda наметился серьезный разлад, автомобиль начал потихонечку исчезать с североамериканского первичного рынка и после 1997 года покинул его насовсем. Потерпевшее крах в мире больших амбиций «дитя» полностью взял под свое крыло Kia Motors.

Ford Figo Aspire Design

The compact sedan segment generally has cars which look like more of a compromise. Good looks takes a back seat here. Thats not the cars with the Ford Figo Aspire, though. This one is a very good looking car. The Ford Figo Aspire is based on Ford’s Kinetic Design 2.0. The bonnet or boot are neither too long nor short. The front design is similar to other new Fords like the Fiesta and Mondeo. There is a prominent swag line that runs across the car. The glass area is small so the car looks larger. This also makes it look well balanced and not too tall. The boot design too is good with a chrome strip that is well proportionate. Its not too flashy not too thin. The car looks premium ever from the rear.

  May be projector lamps can be added and floor at rear can be made flat.

  Best value for money car. I took it for 300 km trip and It gave me 26 kmpl of mileage of which 75% of highway and 25% of city traffic travel.

  Power with Millage, you can feel the power in the very first drive, i am getting 17Km in Hyderabad city traffic, I think is good mileage for a month old car, Looks is sexy, cute. Interior is the best in this segment, very silent Cabin, even for Diesel models. Music System is very good

  Horrible spare parts management and customer relation team

  I got an accident on 1st of November evening and immediately took it to workshop ( Kaikan Ford) on very next day morning. From the workshop they said as the car is new so they don’t have all the spare parts so it will take 3 days to get them. When till 12th the spare parts didn’t arrive I had lodged a complaint to Ford India. Ford India’s Customer relation person Husna Banu took my case and promised to update me from time to time which she never did. Just when dealership on 17th afternoon received the spare parts then she called to say it will reach in the evening where as matter of fact the parts actually reached workshop. Then on 18th I received the car and the workshop guys honestly told me that one part is still missing and they have fixed the accident affected part till the time the part arrive so that I can use the car till that time.

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  After that Husna Banu called next day that if I am happy with the dealer’s repair work, without knowing that still they are waiting for a part from Ford India. When I told her that she promised to look after the matter and again vanished. Till date no reply for my mails not even a call to update me when the part will arrive, if I call they say trying their best without giving a concrete answer. It’s 25 days since I took the car to Ford workshop. Please think twice before purchasing a Ford Product. Very sorry to say that too much incompetent people they have employed.

  Ford’s loyalty benefit policy. Proper clarifications on design and strong connection in design and accessories departments.

  Ford just relies on the paper they have provided called REFERRAL.. when you (FORD) were not providing this thing, were your customers weren’t loyal enough to suggest ford to anybody in their circle? My brother did purchase figo a year before when there was no such paper called REFERRAL.. though he suggested and triggered me to ford, Is his loyalty in vain just because of that paper thing? Be good.. Make Customer relations healthy. Also in ambiente, they have given single din music system slot. Ford does not make any single din music system as an accessory. If you have to install ford’s system, you have to pay 25K for system which is not having CD/DVD even.. In this amount you can purchase better music system than which is being sold as authorised accessory. Every person at ford told me that it has no connectors provided inside.. A BIG LIE. There are connectors provided separately for music system. Don’t be afraid if you are going for the base variant. These things were not taken cared by the company, so I am mentioning it here. For All the newcomers to Ford family.. PLEASE LISTEN.. Dear FORD! it is for your improvement!! ( If you are listening..)

Ford Figo Aspire Engine

There are three engines to choose from in the Ford Figo Aspire. First is the 1.2-litre petrol that churns out 87bhp of power and 112Nm and comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. This engine is ideal for city driving, while for highway it is just fine if you want to cruise. The punch from the engine comes after 3000rpm and keep it above that if you want to extract the best performance.

The Ford Figo Aspire’s second engine is the 1.5-litre petrol. This engine comes only with a six-speed DCT (dual clutch transmission). Simply put, it is a high-end automatic transmission. This is quite a powerful engine and is fun to drive in a spirited fashion. It is very responsive and will satisfy those looking for extra performance with the convenience of an automatic.

The third engine is the 1.5-litre diesel that produces 98bhp of power and 215Nm of torque. This engine of the Ford Figo Aspire has been tuned for better performance, however,  there is still some amount of turbo lag. This is the perfect engine be it city or highway driving. This is the best engine of the lot and we will recommend this for performance and even fuel efficiency.

The diesel is certainly our pick of lot and it has a good mid-range, at low rpms it struggles to pull. The sweet spot for this engine is between 2000-3500rpm. The diesel will return about 15-17km/l in city. The Ford Figo Aspire has good suspension set-up. At the rear it is softer than the front and so the rear has still decent ride. The handling of the Ford Figo Aspire is one of the best-in-class and even the electric power steering is light and easy to drive in city and even on the highway.
